Skopje + North Macedonia Climate Action RND

At this stage, we proceed. This is a profound post. On the latest. From North Macedonia. For the Environmentally Friendly digital nomad journey. While doing the research in Sustainability practices. On both the individual level. And on the level of the general awareness research.

This time. In Skopje, North Macedonia. And writing it from Sweden. On all the actions taken. And all the lessons learned. Published.

At first. Will take the perspective on the place itself. Skopje. Very nice. Cute. And Special. Also very climate action friendly. Lots of vegan places. And the developed infrastructure.

Have to disclose upfront. This post is profound. And semi-advanced. Because we are going further. Much further. With the climate action research. And practice.

Because it is. Exciting.

And not the general travel blog. With a scientific basis in mind. And the type of foundation. Anyone would have to have to go into the climate action living.

And we reveal the entire framework for this type of research. And present in the way how it was constructed. Right from the start. So we keep it all structured. As much as possible.

And we are to look into the relevant fields. This is sort of related to the level of how people are engaging with the climate crisis of data.

So it is all new. And different. In a very different way.

So we can make connections not previously possible to be done before.

My sort of experience with Skopje was very minimal. Because I was focusing on the research primarily. And the intelligent work at home. And did constrain the experiment around the brief idea of reinforcement learning to grocery interaction. Beyond Vegan. Now with Zero Waste and cooking Vegan rather. Without the too-fancy approach to food choices. And other actions. And understandings. This also is relevant to interaction with the environment. Such as Airbnb’s choice. And the choice of transportation of going to Sweden next after the Skopje. Because it is highly related. That is also the natural type of way of setting the future-oriented momentum to research. In the next stage of evolution in this field.

Full Disclosure

I am doing it for myself. Out of personal interest. Just in my spare time. Because this gives me purpose in life. And in my journey. And it also helps me to inform the other areas of life. Makes me happy. And brings huge value to my life. Knowing I am saving the planet. And going carbon neutral in my journey is very important to me. And I also see how all this creates positive change in the world.

The Framework

For us to know what we are up against we have to have a well-defined framework in place. This is because the climate crisis is part of the larger-scale sustainability crisis. And it includes multiple fields of human interaction with the environment. And simply living. Or being. And this is why I am constraining these publications within the manageable data scope. So we are not overwhelmed. And we also define the map of understanding. Based on the layered stack approach to research framework. These stacks are based on what we already know and the previous knowledge. And the intuition of trying something new. Such as going zero waste for example. And the allocations on the subject we did not know yet. And so we construct the belief evolving into the ongoing research practice. Grounding the data in key points for high-level awareness. Based on the information hypothesis theory. Meaning the more we would know. From the more angles. The more of a holistic view we would have. And the more comprehensive picture we would have when it comes to the climate crisis. And how to go about taking the action on the individual level. But also so we know how to see the world and design our interactions with the environment from an entirely different sustainability-driven dimension. And develop that lens for seeing the world differently. Therefore leading to the predicted discoveries. And the predictable change. Because no new knowledge will inevitably go to nothing. And will create the momentum of change and transformations.

Artificial Intelligence

And when it comes to the methodological framework. We design the type of system. That is grounded in some very basic view of reinforcement learning. When it comes to the application of Artificial Intelligence to solve the individual change framework. Simply because we have an intact and functional, type of action research model applied. When it comes to behavioral change.

To this context, the following is to help the understanding:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Behavior_change_(individual)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Action_research

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reinforcement_learning

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Information_deficit_model

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transtheoretical_model

These five links above will help you to understand the methodology we deploy when it comes to producing effective results applied to individual climate actions. And the research in the climate crisis field.

The framework is explained in a few brief levels. And then fully covered. Some areas are very experimental. And comprises all the Skopje Climate Actions research.

We link the research framework with the following key angles:

  • Climate Actions ( new and previous )
  • Mental Health Aspect
  • Key Sustainability Texts and Official Documents

And some of these points are moved to the later stages. Because of the newer discoveries and the research scope expanding. And reaching the point of publication requirement at the substantial stages.

For example, the Airbnb house was chosen based on the following ideas this time:

  • Not New.

The following restrictions have been made to reduce the carbon footprint to the absolute minimum. To a point of almost extreme. When it comes to hiking experiences. And surviving in nature. This is a very similar approach. And yet done in the house. Under the conditions of measurement and micro-management. Using the maximum capacity for survival. And finding the most optimal way of using the resources efficiently. Just like you would do on the zero-emission boat. To optimize all technologies for the best possible performance.

When it comes to reduction. We have reached the point of the kind of spiking modeling. Where the reduction has been done to the absolute extreme. And then slightly rebounded to normal behavior. This spike length was 10 days. Where the consumption of electricity has been limited to the absolute essentials. And the dry food has been consumed. This has produced the following metrics. In modeling:

This did allow to consumption of electricity ( carbon footprint ) under the below-average type of behavior. And then slightly rebound. Even taking into account the learning of Vegan cooking at scale. This has been the below-average type of energy consumption. And very efficient use of resources.

Because we are looking further. We disclose this. We are after the black-and-white thinking in this. The hard and fast rule. Extreme. And to a degree hard core. So that we know we are ahead of the curve when needed. And a lot of experience comes from hiking and outdoor survival. We do not call this type of approach sustainable. Because of the stain on mental health, it may bring. But this is also what we are including in this research.

Particularly speaking of biological systems modeling. Is the caloric precise calculation and management. And restricting the comforts coming from normal home cooking. And from the use of some appliances. And other home systems.

Further with behavioural change. We simply do this. We constrain the experiment to be using just 1 supermarket. And try to go to zero waste as possible. For the interaction design cycle, we use the framework of locking in property. In other words, defining the rule of the particular number of days before the next iteration. So we can take time to learn from our actions. Reaching the particular state. ( Winning or Learning ). And evaluating further for how to adjust and change our next action. Based on the future-oriented planning. Therefore we do not rely on just the intuition itself. But rather on the specific and nearly scientific model. With the measured momentum whilst considering the following:

  • Zero Waste
  • Cooking Vegan
  • Economic Efficiency
  • Duration of days ( Ration )
  • Health Factors ( Nutrition )

The image above shows simply how these are tracked on paper. When it comes to the 10-day framework. It means simply of course not restricting the will to leave the house. But rather using the property and privacy in the form of resource. For planning. Evaluation. Learning. And creating further improvements when it comes to climate action.

When it comes to Skopje itself. There are 3 places you have to know about when it comes to Vegan food.

  • Vega
  • Kitchen 365
  • Paradise

I did not go to Vega and Paradise. If you look into the root of the problem with climate action. And you should. We all have to. These are defeating the purpose a little. Because these are the spin on what you can actually do with going Vegan. Just like the fancy products all wrapped in plastic. Replacement for patties you can do yourself. And other forms of food choices where you can be much more zero waste. And preserve the nutritional value you can control in cooking. And mostly of course because of the branded package that is both an issue for vegan and non-vegan food. Therefore I went with a direct approach to vegan cooking learning at home. And experimentation. And started rather with learning from YouTube Vegan Cooking. To prove myself you can have zero limits on your preferences. And can cook and have your favorite dishes at home from the source ingredients. That can be much more zero waste.

I went to Kitchen 365. And tried their burger. And it was nice. It was just to prove to myself something could be done differently. And no grill can be used to make a culinary product like this. But at the same time, I did enjoy it and can recommend it if you are in Skopje. Also, I did look up Paradise Place and the Vega. And they both look very legit. Another place you can find good healthy vegan type food is the brand called Bio Cosmos present in Skopje, North Macedonia. I did use their flour extensively for cooking multiple culinary solutions.

I share with you my research on YouTube ( playlist ) on all vegan cooking I found very inspiring.

To me the following factors were the most important when it came to learning from this dataset:

  • So I can cook normal home-based dishes without compromises.
  • They can be as zero waste as possible because you are controlling all your source ingredients without too many pre-packaged derivatives.
  • Can cook Italian dishes. Indian dishes. Swedish dishes. ( Any favorites I may have or someone who also can relate ).
  • Can cook complex source-based ingredients. Such as cheeses. Tofu. Sauces. ( So these are jar glass-free). Chia seed pudding. Vegan pesto. Egg-type replacement-texture-type is done with flour. And similar by shape type culinary products reminding of dishes from home and classic cousins. Based on splitting the foods into their source ingredients and components. And based on the way we perceive foods. In shapes textures and tastes.
  • Can cook shaped protein sources in the form of meatballs. Sausages. Patties. And Snitzel-like shapes. So they can end up in hot dogs. Meatballs dishes. Burgers. And classic Western dishes. With sides.
  • Can cook gnocchi that is vegan and self-made. Because of the economic efficiency. And due to the zero waste factor. And the factor of biodegradability.
  • Can cook bread with flour. ( Baking ). With seeds upgraded and is fully vegan. At the control of all vegan ingredients.

This playlist is complimentary and specializes in Italian kitchens. One of my favorites. I also assume learning from non-vegan videos sometimes just to understand what can be replaced. But most of these are totally vegan. They are also the full proof there is no shortage of the full range of food dishes you can even have the challenge of cooking. Both are from the cooking skill level. From the economic level if you just want to do it in a few months or so. Just to practice and nail the skill. And at the same time consuming these based on biologically implausible scenarios.

The reason we give so much attention to food. This is because agriculture accounts for a lot of emissions globally. It is up to 20%. And more. Some sources mention 25%. Plus you are also dealing with the industrial sector. Of package production when you go zero waste.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenhouse_gas_emissions_from_agriculture

It is also because it is so personal sometimes to all of us. It is also the point where your climate action journey starts. Going Vegan. Zero Waste and Shopping less for example. Because you are normally concerned so much with what you can do on the microscopic level. Of what is possible within your behavior.

So I highly recommend actually investing time in learning from these videos. And visually train yourself and your eyes on these cooking skills. Some of these are more specialized than others. However, the majority of these will have overlapping principles. And once you start noticing these commonalities. And gain an understanding of the core principles. You can feel you are truly unstoppable. But just like with going to the gym. It needs also some level of economic investment. Only if you would like to do it. I would do so. Just so you can re-train your behavior more effectively. And make it a much more enjoyable process. So you do not have to limit yourself so much. Yes. It is like a culinary school of your own. Where you simply use YouTube to upgrade yourself. Because the last thing you want is to become a non-confident Vegan. The type of Vegan who is compromised. In nutrition. Or the level of dishes you get to do. To me, the biggest skill was to set out for the use of flour. And master the shapes. This did prove to me I do not actually need much when it comes to fancy choices of food replacing the traditional shapes and textures. And comprising the world class-known dishes.

I am not a pro chef. But I did try a few things to reduce my footprint as much as possible. And go to zero waste as much as possible. Of course, I am not perfect. And I am still learning. But I did a few pivotal things. Such as flour use. And creating some source sauces. And cooking famous dishes like IKEA’s KΓΆttbullar

Italian spaghetti. Bread cooking. And crackers. Gnocci. Chia spread. Sandwiches. Rice-based dishes. ( such as curry sort ). Pasta-based dishes. Burgers.

  • Chia Spread
  • Avocado Mash Sandwich
  • Spaghetti Tomato Sauce
  • Potatoes for Kottbullar [ Mash ]
  • Vegan Balls
  • Kottbullar
  • Crackers with Seeds Baking
  • Gnocci Base
  • Gnocci
  • Vegan Bread
  • Rice-based balanced dishes.
  • Pasta-based dishes. Balanced. With a focus on vision nutrition.
  • Avocado mash sandwich.
  • Sweet Potato Mash Sandwich. With corn flour.
  • Vege burger.
  • Portobello Mushroom Sandwich.

Once you make the realization flour can replace all types of protein-based solutions for you. You go all with it. Especially when it comes to cooking without oil. And the benefits to have on the semi-optimised lower-lever protein intake. Benefiting the cardiovascular system. And weight management.

Of course when it comes to Lidl for example. The North Hemisphere supermarket. And other supermarkets. There is a lot you can purchase that is already delicious and nice. And if you just transition to Vegan these are your investment options. To enjoy the food and learn something new.

Especially when it comes to cheese. And pesto. And some other source ingredients where you need an equipped kitchen. And time to make. But also the good knowledge and practice in these.

My view is you have to know that you are already doing a lot. Because even if you buy these it is animal-free in the first place. And then you also do not go to the restaurants where the food is elevated by labor and the grid use such as electricity and water. That may be already available for you. So home cooking is much more sustainable. If you start from these. And then learn the basics. Then you can go intermediate and advanced. Where you cook much more from the source ingredients. Know what your nutritional sources are. And how to make the source complex ingredients such as cheeses and sauces. And use baking as well. There is plenty of data online. And YouTube is a free resource for it. So you can go further with zero waste. And reduce the amount of plastic you may be using.

Judgement and Decision Making

When it comes to intelligence climate framework is one of the most powerful out there. Because it comprises a high-level complexity dataset. For processing the way we operate in the environment when it comes to the economy. Our efficiency. And other forms of intelligence including but not limited to the creative one.

https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/31337275

It is key because it tells you of the mechanisms in the mind behind the decision-making process. When it comes to solutions such as climate action and environmental protection.

Climate Change Cinema

It is key to inform yourself. And one of the most effective solutions is the movies. So you know what is actually going on in the world. What sort of causes the Tornado or the Earthquake can have. Places like Christchurch where I used to live can tell you without a doubt what people did experience when it comes to life-changing events. Such as Earthquake. And the type of psychology people have in these places. I did myself experienced two to three Earthquakes whilst in under two years living in Christchurch, New Zealand. Or in Tirana, Albania. Where you see the images of the climate disaster events. These are important movies to get familiar with. Because it can tell you what you are up against. And all other practical problems in life can be very small right away. Because you know at any time there could be something big in your area. Especially if you travel. Like the volcano eruption for example. So this informs the level of preparedness at the most. So things like hiking skills come into play as well. And getting waterproof clothing. And being able to have the equipment such as a first aid kit. Is critical to carry around. Water and so on. And it is not the panic. But rather the level of expected global preparedness. And a good practice. Because you never know what can happen in a particular environment. And you are sort of ready for everything. Because you are acting like you are in an emergency. Sort of course. Because it is key that you do not overpush it without professional paramedic skills and other specialized pro-training. And you can simply find these online. A lot of them are available for free. And I mention a few in here. The YouTube channel. And a few specific ones.

https://www.youtube.com/@gretathunberg7607

https://www.youtube.com/@climatedisasterdocumentaries

Earth Stories is particularly a good channel for these. Because you can quickly learn what is going on with the climate. And understand the causes.

Extremes

But when it comes to black-and-white thinking. And sort of this hard and fast rule. Say you go cold turkey. And go on the severe so to speak diet when it comes to climate action. Sure these are important but these would have to be done peacefully and reasonably. So it is the level of a harmonious type of change. So you can adapt. And you are also mentally sustainable. Because this data can affect you on the emotional level a lot. So consider this reality as well.

So please make sure not to push it too far …

Environment & Neurological Diversity

I must include this in my research. Because simply I feel the environment does produce this in us. On the biological level. And sensitivities we have to the environment and sustainable living are the special new types of brains the Earth is creating. Due to the quality of water and food. Gases and emissions. And other evolutionary processes. But also considering these. It is key to note that individuals with these types of special minds do have the tendency to gravitate towards the social sciences and the sustainability fields. To me personally, I am definitely artistic. And overly creative because I am a designer. Artist. And 3D specialist. And also the engineer. So I had my mind warped multiple times in challenges derived from institutionalized academic conditions worth 9 years. And then 3 years of research lab work later on that is research and development-centric. To a level of some sort of diagnosis. Because at times when you want something so badly you would want to do everything to get there. And sometimes you forget about the clinical significance of keeping it to be a sustainable type of action or experiment. A great example of course could be just simply a lot of stress. Lack of particular resources. Access to food and water. Sleep. And also the lack of medical knowledge of our physiology and anatomy. Knowing your limits and accounting for these in your actions and drives. So you can relate and sort of be normal. But also the burn out at work can be a good example. Immune conditions based on seasonal factors and so on. And what this does is it creates a type of different exchange in synapses. I do not have the expertise to speak to these conditions like a clinician. But these are important when it comes to climate action. Because this data can potentially affect us on this level. Just like being creative for example. Because learning is always a risk.

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7139720

In one way or the other, we are all somewhat different. And it is our world that is so complex is giving us these conditions. Of course some more than others. But mental health is a big part of the way we relate to the environment. Both are on the level of neurochemistry. Because it could be our food and sources of water and so on. Access to these. But also on the emotional level. For example things like looking at pollution. And feeling something. This is why these sorts of media sources. And research papers informing us about climate events can have an impact on our mental health. That is not always sustainable. Especially when we try to change our behavior. And so this awareness is very key. Because risks are real. And we must protect ourselves from these. Some of the conditions may include but are not limited to the following:

  • Autism
  • Schizophrenia
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
  • Depression
  • Lack of Appetite
  • Neuroticism
  • Anxiety

This of course will make you so to speak special. And rather very different. Because you start to perceive the environment differently. And at the same time, these are the dangerous conditions. All of these say going vegan for example can affect your biochemistry. And neurotransmitter activity. Because when you are dealing with a problem this big and complex there is no other way for your brain to protect itself from failing than to shut down for example. Or change the way the synapses exchange chemical impulses. Simply because you are making connections has never been possible before. And it is very intense. This may release a lot of cortisol. And makes you feel a lot of stress. And if not managed well. This can lead to depression and other conditions. Because if you think about it. Cognitively it is very hard to make the connection between you making the choice in the grocery store to the animals and tornadoes out there in the other parts of the world. Because you must think globally in this case. You also have to consider different fields or facets of the climate crisis. Agriculture. Transportation. Pollution. Energy. Purity of air and so on. And these are large-scale systems. So you have to think on so many complex levels it is very hard for the brain to deal with. Although you can understand these. And start acting on these. There is a lot of fallback to happen. Where you can get upset because your behavior is not consistent for example. Or because you feel your action is a drop in the ocean. Just like this blog for example. And you know you are doing a lot. And feeling like nothing is being done. Because you are up against such a big problem. At the global scale. Of course, you can have a mental breakdown. Especially when you try to do and try everything you can in your power to make the changes required.

The true art form of this is the ability to pull back and recover from the edge you are running yourself into. And then live freely.

Black & White Thinking [ Issue ]

It is very easy to find the lack of purpose in living when you realize how powerful the climate crisis is. So you know okay in 75 odd years or so I am more likely to experience extreme drought. Or an earthquake or a severe storm with a tornado or tsunami. And you also go I will do everything in my power to do everything I can on my own individual level. You go nuts. And decide to turn off the lights. Micro manages everything to the level of the full obsession and sometimes absurd. Decide to live with minimum electricity. And always go for the most sustainable option. Even if costs you friendship for example. Or comforts and even health. You decide to eat nuts only because they do not have to be cooked. And you time yourself in the shower and so on. And you are to live with this critical mindset where you sort of burn out. Because it is a fact. It is impossible to live sustainably today. Our environment is simply not designed around the maximized idea of sustainability. This is why we see the pollution in the streets. This is why there are lots of non-vegan products. And we are even not brought up this way. It is a relatively new world. And a new type of thinking. That we all must develop. Because it needs to inform all levels of our lives. Especially if we are in business.

And so you put it at the very core of your life. Your business and your work. Your travel and so on the module of sustainability. To a point where you sacrifice your job. Because yes. It is rather required less when you step on the path of living more sustainably. Because you realize how much less you need to live a happy and more sustainable life. Especially if you are quite dedicated. Because I believe it is impossible to internalize these behavioral changes without a higher level of dedication and commitment. So at first, it looks like the blog of the digital nomad traveller. But to me, it is the scientific research on the applied level. Where for the last 2 years I have been focusing on changing my life. Starting from going vegan. And then going on buses to travel around the EU and Balkans region. And recycling. Trying to go to zero waste as much as possible. And writing these blog posts about my experiences. But also researching the official documents. And learning about climate change. This has become the purpose of my journey so far. Because I know I can not do anything without knowing about the way to be a semi-expert in sustainability. Without giving substantial dedication. And applying these actions on an individual basis. I can not work or do business. Let alone going to the shop is always challenging with this data in mind. But it is also a good thing. Because every three months or so I become better at this. And then I also know the behavior is only sustainable when a significant level of investment in time and energy is given to it. Such as training and practice. Similar to the university degree. The good news is that your level of immersion in the climate crisis is substantial. And you have made a lot of changes. That is long-lasting. You never would feel like you ever graduated from this self-driven university. Of course, you can find friends and join communities. Groups and so on. But this is sort of the new type of life you would be living. And always be learning about the newer ways in which you can make the planet better. Because it matters. One aspect of it would be Eudaimonia:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eudaimonia

The other aspect is of course you feel you relate to animals better. And to others as well. You become more kind. And with age, it is even better. Because you can feel you can be much more sustainable in retirement. And see your footprint for the planet and future generations did matter. And was good. So you have left the great place after yourself. And lived a happier and more fulfilling purposeful life. Beyond the selfish drives. And at the same kept it kind of quiet just for yourself. Knowing there is the support around you also. And it did matter. At this moment in time.

When it comes to the sort of radical approach to it. It is only a temporary feeling. Because it is biologically implausible to be stressing out so much about your actions. You just otherwise stop functioning. And then it defeats the purpose. Because it may take too long to get out of bed sometimes. Black-and-white thinking is cool. And I do think we should approach it this way to a degree. But we also must account for flexibility. Kindness and rational approach. The biggest part of it is the highest level of intelligence. You can also look at it from the idea of perceived biological modeling. Where if you are an athlete going vegan can be a good experiment. Or focusing on bone health. Weight loss. And things like nutrition for healthy eyes and vision. So you can link climate actions to the health conditions and forms of modelling. And it has a lot to do with doing the seemingly impossible actions. Where you prove the impossible is nothing. And only proving to yourself there are just so many people on board with these. Where you can prove you can live laterally. And think differently. Be different and act differently. Where you feel the planet sort of informs you about the new way of living a lot faster than we can understand. But if we do. And if we learn. If we dedicate ourselves. We can make sense of the changes required to live better and more sustainable lives. This is of course to do with the science of achievement. Because you must feel like going part-time for example because you do not consume much. Or stopped using aviation. Going vegan. Requires a lot. Time. Commitment. Intelligence. And so on. But at the same time, it is also changing the standards of living from who you are from before. It requires a better and kinder identity. So you have to restructure your entire world. And how you interact with it. And these changes. The data. Sacrifices. And so to speak compromises. On the long-term scale will make irreversible changes in your identity. Where you use your resources and live in a much more efficient way. Because it is all science. You just have to know what sort of formulas to apply. And learn from the way it may affect you.

And you can also do very subtle climate actions in the form of digital activism. By using Bluetooth technology and naming your devices accordingly. So others on the same network can see what is going on. And may or not change their lives but at least sort of learn from it. Become informed.

I have to talk about zero waste a little. I did learn snowboarding and surfing before. And surfing is sort of 30 times harder than snowboarding. Because after the 2-week timeframe, you can snowboard and stop falling off. But with surfing, it takes at least a good two to three months before you can turn the frustration and exhaustion into control. And to the enjoyment of riding waves. Because of how complex the ocean is compared to the snowy mountain. This goes the same for me when it comes to comparing going Vegan to going Zero Waste Vegan. Because of how much our food is packaged in all these materials. Plastic. Cardboard. Glass and Metal. With all these different biodegradable qualities. And constraining yourself to only going after the vegetable area is not a simple task. Especially if you have a medically defined diet based on some kind of clinical condition. Or anything specialized. Or if you like to drink coffee for example. It is actually very difficult to go to Zero Waste. And you can not rely on recycling either. So you must adapt. And learn an entirely new set of skills. But at the same time, the reinforcement learning framework does help it a lot. And then locking the experiment to be constrained to one shop also helps to simplify the data you are going through when going after the behavioral changes. And so you rely on the same vegetable area at all times. And can plan better. And make fewer mistakes. Get triggered a lot less. And not fall back too much on the previous behavioral choices.

And finally, we get to something that is the most important. But also something that no one is doing. The actual homework on climate change situation. And exploring the key documents. In this post, we only briefly cover some aspects of it. And key ideas. Yet. On the back end we of course doing a much deeper level of work. When it comes to climate justice.

And the research into the official documents. But even this can be considered as the very introduction to the climate crisis. Such as the IPCC report. Paris Agreement. And Kyoto Protocol. And a few other key texts. This is so we understand the climate crisis by sector of human activity. In particular:

  • Climate Facts
  • Paris Agreement
  • Aviation
  • Carbon Inequality
  • Kyoto Protocol
  • Zero Waste
  • Climate Goals
  • Climate Justice
  • The Future of Food
  • IPCC Report

Of course, when you learn about sustainability and climate crisis it can become this cool thing to try out. A new type of thing. Where you see it as a cool game. And you try a few things. Like going Vegan and going Zero Waste. Like to be part of some kind of new cool culture. And sure it is cool. But is also not very grounded. If you do not understand the key basics of it. And not use the data to actually drive your behavior. And it becomes the research project. With quite official texts put together by governmental international organizations and panels. Meaning the investigation is quite an undertaking. And it may take a few weeks to go through. But without going through this you will never be able to understand the real causes of climate crisis. And what the state of the solutions are at this stage.

You will never be able to get anywhere without the key concepts and the data. For example, knowing it is all about the global temperature rise. But also that is so dynamic that if we do nothing. In 75 odd years or so we would have times 4 and 10 more earthquakes. And heatwaves. Leading to loss in agriculture sectors. Causing less food and food shortages. Challenges it brings. And so on. But also the aviation. And it’s impact. Knowing that the aviation sector does actually report per airline on the emission level. And also the fact that some airplanes consume less. But if you use the bus or the international train. It is only 10% or 20% from the plane use. And so we can significantly reduce our carbon footprint once we are informed with this kind of dataset.

So it is actually not a cool new thing of the plant-based choices. Or fancy products in Lidl or other stores. Or just going conservative with the shop stop movement. But it is actually a direct link to the agriculture sector. Because we normally vote with our choices. And direct link to the life of animals. The same goes for industrial production when we consume our product in the package. And climate and sustainability are the big sector. It is actually the industry in itself. It was perfectly clear Artificial Intelligence would become the component of each business. Because it is the automation and optimization model applied to systems design. But with sustainability, it is the exact same thing. If you look now more and more vehicles become electric. And the infrastructure develops this way. We can see the wind turbines and solar panels whilst we travel.

We can see electric vehicles including the ones for public transport. And we can see the world is changing to be living differently. Let alone to mention the vegan options available everywhere.

This is where the reinforcement model can have a very big impact on how we act. And the choices that we make. Because through the number of repetitions we do we learn. And it is predictable.

In this context of covering these documents, we also present the hypothesis that will be explored further. Because we have the on-going research investigation. With further aspects of sustainability research.

Because our responsibility when it comes to climate justice is on the biblical scale. You can tell something going on. But when it comes big. You get to uncover so much that you can no longer handle it. And it is the subject of the future publications. And so all of these key questions can be developed into the hypothesis. So with each iteration, we can implement the answers to these. Writing can create a lot of depth to all this. Even this blog post is substantial. Even if I do this simply out of my own interest. And sort of risking a lot of time in my life. Because you can see how much work goes into this. But you can also see how important it is. Because of the type of network we construct. And grounding in writing can help you think deeply about the climate crisis. And produce the transformations like never before. And bring a whole lot of purpose to your life.

Most of it is more than others. Because we can not exclude aviation from our world. Due to trade. Transportation and clinical reasons. But in many respects, the individual action should not even include aviation. Also avoiding the worst emitting airports is a good data source. Per the particular plane. It is best to avoid the planes altogether. And only use these for traveling across the continent. If the boat ride is not available across the Atlantic Ocean.

It is easy to stop flying especially when you are in a densely populated area. It is also a good way of preventing the person’s use and their resources against them. Because it is so simple to jump on the plane. And start doing things. But at the same time, it is the worst you can do for the planet. Because in many cases with the airports, the bus is always required anyway.

And of course, it has nothing to do with the process of flight. But it has rather to do with the CO2 emissions. And making sure this mode of transport is the insurance policy at all times when we need it. But we rather choose to go after the more sustainable forms of transportation.

And of course, it is key to know all the key references in the field of aviation research when it comes to sustainability.

But it is also the reframing. Because it would not feel like anything bad. But actually good. Because we are changing our choices. But also changing who we are. Our character. Our soul is kind of changing. Because of the way we relate to the planet.

Global Warming. Mitigation of climate change. Of course in many respects, all of these issues are outlined and mentioned in the Kyoto Protocol. Just like any other document. Are all at first start in the very good-like scenario? And with some very interesting concepts in mind. And then they outline the boring procedures required for the countries to take. Sure they are sounding very effective. But considering the time for when it is from. And where we are now. They are all sounding like the general rules of thumb. Of knowing this needs to be done. But no one is actually doing anything in particular at the speed required. And on the scale required. Sure this is also not exactly true. I found this document to be very helpful. But also highly informative. Plus we know that something is actually been done. And a lot to a degree.

Food is obviously a big topic. But it is really the topic of agriculture. And the direct link to the CO2 emissions. And how we transition to being vegan. And go with the plant-based solutions. But in terms of food innovation and biological growth, it is a very good and important field of climate change research.

Food and agriculture is one of the most important. I would say it is the most important component of climate change. Because in the changing climate, the planet’s health can be so we would not have the same capabilities to live. And source food in the future. And so the faster we transition to the more intelligent foods without any compromise and in many respects better for our health the better. Plus it will help us to significantly reduce the CO2 emissions. And reduce our carbon footprint. Of course, sometimes we have to roll back. Not with going vegan. But with the use of TetraPack for example. Because some materials used for packaging are something that actually protects our food from food poisoning and cross-contamination. And so to a degree, it needs to be done in a balanced way. In a way that is healthy but also sustainable. And where do not produce too much waste. In terms of the local output into the soil when it comes to food packages. But of course, with the good chains of recycling and reuse, these are actually not so harmful. Especially when it comes to the distribution of material over the time scale. But at the same time, this kind of madness comes out. When it comes to learning and then rolling back creates some level of disaster events. Especially when it is linked to some kind of hunger-driven protest. And other wide-scale humanitarian and sustainability crosses. Because we create non-sustainable mental health environments. But these are very important. Because these are inextricably linked to the climate justice. And the ideas of protest on a personal level. Because you can work towards a better world by living differently. And having your choices to be the messages. On all levels. Economics. Sustainability. Choices. Vote. Carbon footprint reduction. And then reducing the number of material products placed in the environment based on our choices.

It has been so sad to see that such a cool idea has become the subject of this international battle and chasing material gains and so on. And it is also good to see that it is kind of over. And the end is predictable also. Of course, by far it is not going to be a destructive process. Or the process of failure. No. And in fact, the debate is actually shifting from the perspective of dynamics. But climate change is always going to remain the best possible response scenario to all of this. Because it is the person who cares and has good intentions for something so meaningful and at the same something so few care about to this extent that deserves a voice in this. Not as a form of exchange or labor. Or some kind of reward. But because they want to do good in the world. And there is so much they could do.

Each party is responsible for its emission level. Global response to climate change to protect people. Climate systems and early warning systems.

This is mostly how we win. There is nothing too complicated in it. But this sort of cool agreement is quite nice. I did not find anything beyond specific in it. And at the same time, it is very light. I can not tell it is radical but it is quite good. And in fact, I would not call it extreme either. The cool thing is that this lightly we have already gone through all aspects of the future of document-type research. The so-to-speak homework.Β

And this is the first step to take is to start carrying around the flask bottle. The thermos-like. So these can even be used for basic cooking systems. Like pasta and rice cooking. And warming you during the cold nights of winter. But also can store your medication or small snacks like nuts. And of course, the most important is the great water source on long trips. And just at home.

For now, it is all. And the work is done. At least in Skopje, North Macedonia. Just to tell you how much I was flying before you can look at this:

And now I am traveling by buses only:

To conclude this I can tell it gives me a lot more happiness.

But at the same time, I can tell it is almost scary how deep I went with the sustainability research. At the level where I have almost compromised all the other areas of lives. Of course not entirely because it is all about the balance. But it did matter a lot to me. And I did dedicate the whole year to making these changes and publishing these posts. And now I am in Sweden. Where I would like to be part of the peaceful protest. And research further.

Of course, this is not the type of obsession that has no end. But at the same time, I feel like one more segment of 3 months is required. To fully tell I went advanced and comprehensive on the topic. And not just the topic. But the way to live life. And conduct the business and digital nomad travel. Because sustainability is so important it leads to all good discoveries in the world. Where you can leave the past behind.

It is 100% a topic that keeps me wanting to learn more about it. And at the same time, I just know it is never going to be forever for me. Because I am a 3D Artist. I could of course connect my life with this topic a lot more. Because the lever where we are at it is leading to more advanced understanding. And only knowing there is more to it. So I will be publishing further on this.

And there will be further research. So watch this place. There is a lot more I can tell you about my journey so … stay tuned.

Please note: Some images are not from Skopje only. But from Berlin and Sweden already.

Cheers, Oleg
